Description
Reference Patch Cord / master patch cord manufactured by ANC International Co., Limited is designed for reliable measurement in telecommunication networks and optical component. The Master patch cords are the best possible cable assemblies that can be manufactured offering the lowest possible optical losses used for measuring optical properties of various Optical Device. Typically the cables are terminated with FC, SC, MU and LC Connectors on one end and an APC Connector terminated on the other end. All of our reference patch cords are composed of our top quality Zirconia Ferrules and Connector Housings ensuring a stable performance at a high quality level. Our Master patch cord can be delivered within a short lead time with the lowest prices available.
For insertion loss testing, this requires reference launch jumper cables to connect the test source to the cable under test and receive cables to connect the fiber optic power meter. For accurate measurements, the launch and receive cables must be made with fiber and connectors matching the cables to be tested and terminated carefully to ensure low loss.
Insertion loss testing requires one, two or three reference cables, depending on the test performed and the appropriate mating adapters for the connectors. Reference cables for insertion loss testing with a light source and power meter are typically 1-2 meters long, with fiber and connectors matching the cables to be tested.
