Splitters

A fiber optic splitter also called fiber optic coupler is a device used in optical fiber systems with one or several input fibers and more output fibers. Light entering an input fiber can appear at more outputs and its power distribution potentially depends on the wavelength and polarization. By fabricating method, fiber optic splitter can be separated into fused bi-conic taper (FBT) splitter and planar light wave circuit (PLC) splitter. FBT coupler uses traditional technology to weld several fibers together from side of the fiber. Such coupler can be 1×2, or 2×2, 1×4 or 2×4 with both single mode and multimode and OM3 fiber optic coupler available. PLC splitter uses micro-optical chips, can achieve 1×8, 1×16, 1×32, 1×64 or 2×8, 2×16, 2×32, 2×64 at compact size. ANC can provide low insertion loss, low PDL and environmental stable fiber optic splitters at factory price.
